Procrastination to the max. I have been putting off finding a florist for the longest time. This needs to change.
Recently I was looking our budget and have come to the realization that we need to make some cuts. Doing the invitations myself has saved me a couple hundred dollars. We also found a DJ that was under budget. With these savings, we still manage to be over budget. One word: photography.
My wedding planner (my wedding planner book that is) tells me I have $600 to spend on all my flowers. Um, hello! That really isn't much at all, especially if we are having them all professionally done. I need to get creative here... and I could really use the savings.
My thought is having the bouquets professionally done, having my church-flower-friend committee grow/make the centerpiece arrangements, and have my good friend/roommate/florist Holly Pearson help with all of those things and then everything else. I need an expert. And she could really give me some advice-- even if not doing it herself.
So Holly, this is for you. Pictures of flowers and arrangements I particularly like:
Centerpieces: Remember I am planning on all those jars/candles. The arrangements need to look appealing with long tables, not round ones.
Tiny little arrangements
Makes me hungry-- so summery
glass jars everyone!

Bouquets: I want blush, peaches, and creams. Very pink ones with the champagne bridesmaid dresses.I think these colors are beautiful -- feathers would be nice, but more for a winter wedding
This pink one would be great for BM
This one is more a bridal bouquet
My Favorites! Out of all the flowers these are on the top of my list:
I like the different bouquets for each bridesmaid
That's all for flowers. At home I'm working on addressing our wedding invitations-- to be sent in mid-June. The printing place actually cut my invites incorrectly, so they are going to be reprinting and recutting all of them! What a hassle... A post on this coming soon!
Best,
Amber
Pretty, pretty. Love the BLUSH!
